Economical

The lifecycle of TerraStrong insulation and waterproofing systems just make good economic sense.

  • Reduced energy costs - TerraStrong closed-cell spray polyurethane foam (ccSPF) provides a thermal barrier, air barrier, and moisture barrier in a single material. In general construction, studies have shown that up to 40% of a building's inefficiency is due to heat loss, or gain, through walls, roofs, and windows. Because ccSPF delivers the highest R-value per inch (6 per inch) of any insulation product, it significantly reduces energy consumption and costs. In military applications, general power requirements for cooling and heating temporary and permanent structures are reduced by as much as 80%.
  • Reduced lifetime cost - TerraStrong ccSPF keeps conditioned air in, while insulating structures from heat and cold, enabling HVAC systems to be downsized. Maintenance and wear of HVAC systems is reduced because of less demand on equipment. In military applications, for example, ccSPF fortifies and improves the structural integrity of earth-built barriers (Hescos) by reducing exposure to the elements. This more than triples the barrier's life span, reducing costs significantly.
  • Reduced construction costs - Building owners and contractors involved with general construction projects save money on both labor and materials due to easy application, reduced crew size, and increased production rates. In military applications, ccSPF saves so much in energy, fuel, materials and man-hours, that a TerraStrong project can pay for itself in as little as five weeks.
