Honeywell TerraStrong closed-cell spray polyurethane foam (ccSPF) insulates all types of temporary and permanent structures, including tents, living quarters, air craft hangers, hospitals, computer rooms, office space, warehouse and storage facilities, dining facilities, shops, and bunkers. Closed-cell SPF helps reduce interior heat and cold, while mitigating noise, insects and rodents.
Honeywell solutions featuring TerraStrong products provide improved quality of life and enhance the safety of soldiers. Air conditioning requirements are reduced by at least 50% and general power requirements for cooling and heating structures by as much as 80%. Significantly decreased fuel consumption on base reduces the number of convoys needed for fuel to supply heating and cooling equipment, which reduces transportation over routes where protection is required.
TerraStrong's ccSPF fortifies and improves the structural integrity of earth-bult barriers (Hescos) by reducing exposure to the elements. This more than triples the barrier's life span, reducing costs and improving soldier safety.
