TerraStrong 300 Series Roofing Insulation
The TerraStrong 300 Series is a closed-cell, spray polyurethane foam (ccSPF) designed for horizontal substrates and the loading requirements and foot traffic in roof applications. TerraStrong 300 is seamless and monolithic, eliminating butt joints that eventually fail, causing energy loss from the interior, while allowing moisture and outside air to penetrate inside the building envelope.
Because TerraStrong is a liquid when it is applied, and then immediately turns solid, it is self flashing and seamless. This feature eliminates the need for additional flashing materials, which can be costly, time consuming, and potentially leaky.
When used for roofing applications, TerraStrong 300 is a fluid applied product that is fully adhered and waterproof, providing exceptional wind uplift resistance. In fact, TerraStrong 300, in combination with specific protective coatings, has been tested and approved for use in severe hail zones in the United States. The NRCA (National Roofing Contractors Association) in the U.S. has identified ccSPF as one of the products of choice for high wind and hail zones.
TerraStrong 300 is extremely lightweight. In retrofit applications, it can be applied directly over existing roofing materials eliminating costly tear-off and disposal issues. Over metal, TerraStrong ccSPF adds stiffness to the existing roofing materials and eliminates the need for metal plates and fasteners. TerraStrong 300 helps eliminate the drastic environmental conditions that lead to metal roof failures.
