TerraStrong 3100 Series Reduced Solvent Silicone Coating
TerraStrong Reduced Solvent (RS-3106) and Recycled Content (RC-3110) Silicone Coatings are high quality, elastomeric silicone materials designed to protect closed-cell spray polyurethane foam (ccSPF) from UV rays and moderate mechanical damage. Silicone is a moisture curing coating that performs better than acrylics in moist, high-humidity climates. These products are made with a substantial reduction in solvent content and are environmentally friendly because minimal solvents are released into the air during spray application.
The Recycled Content Silicone Coating contains 15% recycled EPDM membrane from old roofs, providing the additional "green" benefit of redirecting EPDM from the landfill back onto the roof.
TerraStrong Reduced Solvent Silicone Coating (RS-3106) provides the same functionality as traditional petroleum-based roof coatings and TerraStrong Recycled Content Silicone Coating (RC-3110) actually enhances functionality when compared with traditional petroleum-based roof coatings because of the strong physical characteristics of the recycled EPDM.
These silicone coatings create a moisture-resistant seal over the ccSPF that is durable and flexible, forming a seamless, self-flashing protective surface that can be reconditioned to provide years of leak-free and protective service. Silicone coatings can be applied to dry, frost-free surfaces at normal to cool temperatures, providing a longer seasonal application window.
Both products are available in gray. The Reduced Solvent Silicone Coating (RS-3106) is also available in white, which meets Energy Star®, LEED (Leadership in Energy aad Environmental Design), and Cool Roof Rating Council (CRRC) reflectance and emissivity requirements.
